Seminars & Events

The Department of Economics offers a wide range of seminars and PhD reading groups, both general and field-specific, to foster a thriving research environment and provide intensive training for our PhD students. Seminars are usually held during lunchtime, with a meal provided. One-on-one slots, as well as lunch and dinner with the speaker, are available to PhD students, who are strongly encouraged to attend. Finally, PhD students are encouraged to attend seminars or events at neighboring universities such as the University of Geneva, the Graduate Institute, or the University of Zurich, all accessible by train.
