Curriculum

During the course you can also expect to complete a week’s residential course abroad as part of a study tour, a one week introductory full-time course, and three multi-disciplinary projects.

Main projects

Collaboration comes into play especially with the capstone projects. Participants work on these assignments to apply the tools and knowledge acquired in class from an executive management viewpoint. The projects aim to make participants embrace a particular topic while developing a big-picture mindset.

Professional and personal development

At HEC Lausanne, our professional and personal development programme – which runs throughout the 16 months – aims to enhance participants’ skills and help them develop a career plan. Our tailored approach enables each participant to identify and analyse his or her particular needs and goals. Participants work with our professional and executive coaches to develop their skills and methodologies to strengthen particular aspects of their interpersonal competences.

Module abroad

We think it is important for you to get another perspective on business. For this reason, we organise a module abroad as part of the EMBA. Thanks to our longstanding partnerships, you will spend one week studying at a renowned partner institution in another country, visiting local companies selected for their outstanding business principles and practices.

Examinations and schedules

Participants are evaluated on each module, through assessments, grades or exams. The format of these evaluations is unique to each professor and may take the form of a final written or oral exam, or assignments during the module. Exam days are included in the MBA course and are indicated in the schedule.

Please note that there are also optional courses offered to participants throughout the MBA programme, for which participants can register.
