Description: The overarching themes of the 2016 edition of the SASS comprised Public Participation and Local Governance, Collaborative Governance, Transparency, Performance and Accountability, and Good Governance in a globalized world. The successive presentations from Swiss, Chinese, and Singaporean students not only underscored diverse approaches to similar challenges but also shed light on the impact of government intervention on public service. The students enjoyed an enriching visit to Swissnex, gaining insights into innovation, and an evening with the Swiss Ambassador in Beijing, delving into the historical and political facets of Sino-Swiss relations. These experiences contributed to a comprehensive exploration of governance issues and fostered valuable cross-cultural insights among participants.
