How we Teach

Do you wish to change your life, company or community? It is time to do things differently.

Our dynamic, bold, sometimes unorthodox and often unusual teaching methods have helped us consistently rank as an exciting, best-in-class Executive MBA programme. Our professors develop theories and new methodologies that form the foundations of our academic excellence.

Outstanding professors and experts

What is not unorthodox though, is our commitment to the highest of standards. As you can expect from one of the leading universities in the world, all courses are taught by outstanding professors who have proven their teaching responsibilities in the Faculty. Most of our Executive MBA professors have been with the HEC Faculty for many years, and many are actively involved in the regional and global business community.

Specific courses are delivered by experts from different institutions, (e.g. The Institute of Economics and Management of Health, CHUV, etc.). These institutions share their strategies to ensure that our programme is tightly based on business realities.

The HEC Lausanne Executive MBA combines lectures, exercises and case studies. Oriented toward business impacts and adding value, the teaching methods challenge how participants think and offer takeaways - new ways of seeing and doing - that can be immediately put to use.

To enhance the learning experience, simplify communication and make practical and logistical improvements such as the amount of coursework or paper that participants and teachers have to carry with them, the use of iPads is an integral part of our programme. An app provides access to course materials, news feeds and an interactive feature that allows you to connect with staff members and faculty.
