Conference date: September 14 and 15, 2023
PLSC is a paper workshop conference where a commentator, rather than the author, introduces and leads a discussion on the draft paper. There are no panels nor keynotes, and everyone is a participant. Instead of just listening, conference participants are expected to read the papers of the sessions they attend in advance and discuss the draft papers in small sessions.
Our goal is to improve and provide support for in-progress scholarship and to offer time to participants to exchange. To do so, PLSC assembles a wide array of privacy law scholars and practitioners from Europe and abroad to discuss the papers. Privacy is meant in a broader sense and scholars from many disciplines (law, psychology, economics, sociology, philosophy, political science, computer science, etc.) also participate. We welcome submissions and registration from all relevant backgrounds and geographical area. However, the conference will be in English and we can only accept papers in English.
