Student academic performance has important implications for students' future job prospects, for academic institutions, and for the taxpayer. One could argue that students attend some teachers’ classes and provide more or less effort into a topic because of certain characteristics of the teachers, which can be seen through leadership lens. One such feature could be charisma. In this seminar, Tiffany presents her methodology to test if using charismatic leadership tactics – increasing the salience and clarity of a message – impact student’s performance. A laboratory experiment at LABEX with 1st year HEC students and a field experiment with elementary school kids in collaboration with HEP is planned. The designs will be discussed in detail and asked for feedback on.
