The Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Sport (CIRSport) at the University of Lausanne is excited to invite submissions for its upcoming symposium “Sustainability of Major Sports Events: Challenges, Innovations, and Future Paths.” This half-day event will take place on May 22, 2025, at the University of Lausanne, bringing together researchers and experts to explore the environmental, social, and economic impacts of large-scale sports events. The symposium is co-organized with the research project “Sports for the Planet? Analyzing the Sustainability of Major Sports Events,” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The event will also include a book launch of Integrity and Sustainability in Sport Business: Environmental and Social Goals (Routledge), edited by Argyro Elisavet Manoli and Ioannis Konstantopoulos.
