Humidity, Latent Heat, and Atmospheric Energy

Abstract: Humidity and latent heat are one of the main sources of energy in the atmosphere. Released by perturbations, storms and hurricanes  or transported thousands of kilometres by atmospheric rivers, this energy finds its source in the particular properties of water molecules. This presentation lifts the veil a little on these concepts that are central in meteorology.
