Résumé
In this lecture I will be looking at the intertwined histories of contraception and demography. I will consider the critical studies of contraception and demography, and then explore some of the knowledge practice of demography itself. Finally, I will introduce a more pragmatic approach to contraception as an analytical counterpoint.
Biographie de V. Boydell
Dr. Victoria Boydell is a Research Fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She is currently undertaking longitudinal ethnographic research on women's responses to reproductive technologies in the United Kingdom.
