Prof. Dr. Irmi Seidl of WSL will give a talk on rethinking the role of work in a post-growth society.
Prof. Dr. Irmi Seidl, head of the economics and social science department at WSL, will discuss the role of work for a post-growth society. Work, both unpaid and paid, is a central part of human life. However, the transition towards an economy within planetary boundaries requires a reconceptualization of the role of work in society and a rebalancing between paid and unpaid work. To this end, it is imperative to rethink work as meaningful activity and to reduce the role of formal employment therein.
The event is open-access, no registration needed. In accordance with the COVID regulations, we ask participants to show a valid COVID certificate upon entry.
The talk will also be broadcast on Zoom.
