Dans le cadre du séminaire de recherche "Marges, environnement, paysages".
In this presentation I will focus on two different agricultural cultural landscapes in Slovenia (one in the former Ljubljana marshlands, the other on viticultural landscape in the Vipava hills) and the challenges of deciding what to develop and what to protect in a given cultural landscape. The first cultural landscape is getting too intensified and the existence of the other is threatened by abandonment. In both cases, analyses of landscape change were carried out (albeit on a different time scale – 1825–2013 in the first case, 2002–2020 in the second), the level of naturalness were taken inti account and measures for future management were developed. While in the first case the framework of ecosystem services was also used, in the second case special attention was paid to the role of Natura 2000 and communication about it.
