Every year, HEC Lausanne makes available a research budget destined for funding empirical research projects of its doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and assistant professors.

EPFL - CROSS
The Collaborative Research on Science and Society (CROSS) Programme encourages interdisciplinary projects addressing current issues in society and technology, and that are carried out as a collaboration between researchers from EPFL and UNIL. This year's theme is mobility.
The Diligentia Foundation promotes research projects in economics and social sciences.
Granted amount: up to 50'000 EUR.
Dalle Molle Foundation
The Dalle Molle Foundation for Quality of Life awards the ‘Quality of Life’ prize to a current research project which has already been recognised by research support bodies, public institutions or private companies for its scientific quality. The foundation has a double aim: to encourage and promote research which allows people to benefit from science and technology and to improve quality of life.
Prize amount: CHF 10'000
Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS)
SNIS encourages researchers to contribute to policy-making, by granting research fundings and awarding high-quality academic contributions. Research fundings aim to promote pluri-disciplinary and policy-relevant research projects linked to the international agenda. Furthermore, SNIS rewards every year the best PhD thesis in International Studies ("SNIS Award for International Studies") and three high-quality, policy-relevant academic papers ("International Geneva Award").

IMI - Initiative for Media Innovation
The Initiative for Media Innovation (IMI) aims to "support the transformation of the media sector through scientific research". Researchers can apply for financial support in order to fund their research projects.
The UEFA Research Grant Programme was created to support the work of researchers analysing European football from the perspective of a variety of academic disciplines.
Amount: up to 15'000 CHF for individual projects, up to 20'000 CHF for joint projects.
