Swiss-Asian Summer School

The Swiss Asian Summer School (SASS) was founded in 2004 and promotes international academic collaboration, fostering cross-cultural understanding in public administration. The SASS connects Swiss and East Asian researchers, expanding to a growing number of Asian universities over the last 20 years. Partner institutions take turns in hosting the SASS annually for a week, offering international feedback and showcasing academic excellence.

During this Summer School, doctoral students actively share their diverse research perspectives, covering various issues, frameworks, and methodologies. Students present their PhD projects, participate in self-organized sessions, and engage in interactive workshops. Esteemed faculty members from partner institutions share insights into their countries' administrative systems and ongoing research. 

In essence, the SASS emphasizes cross-cultural connections, global academic collaboration, and equipping the next generation of scholars for the evolving world of public administration.

Credits: 2 ECTS – To obtain the ECTS, the doctoral student must participate in the entire programme.
