PhD student Jérémie Haese has received the inaugural Basil Cousins' Award. Established in 2023 by OpenForum Europe, this award recognizes outstanding research in open innovation and technology.

Jérémie Haese's research explores how firms adopt open source technologies and the subsequent impact on both open source communities and corporate engineering teams. The award was presented at the 2023 OpenForum Academy Symposium in Berlin.

"It's a milestone that validates your work and shows you're on the right path", Jérémie Haese commented on receiving the award. This recognition not only celebrates his academic achievements but also provides valuable exposure to industry experts and policymakers in the open source community.

The Basil Cousins' Award, named after OpenForum Europe's co-founder, aims to support and showcase promising young academics in the field of open technology.
