Dr. Tarcisio Mendes de Farias is a computer scientist specialized in data and knowledge management, working as a computational biologist in the Bgee team at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. Currently, his main research interests are Semantic Web applied to biological and biomedical data, ontology design and development, natural language processing, data integration and interoperability among biological data sources.
