Established in 2016, the Cognitive and Affective Regulation Laboratory (CARLA) serves as an interdisciplinary hub led by a dedicated team of researchers in the fields of cognitive and affective sciences. As of September 2023, the lab is under the new direction of Meike Ramon, who has succeeded Joël Billieux in fostering a collaborative environment likeminded researchers at the Institute of Psychology.
Our team includes six professors—Joël Billieux, Elise Dan-Glauser, Peter Hilpert, Christine Mohr, Meike Ramon, Valentino Pomini—and one senior lecturer, Anik Debrot. Bringing together researchers from diverse fields, we aim to bridge the gap between applied and basic science by focusing on the cognitive and affective processes that regulate human behavior.
