Last month, we were very pleased to host a group of Bachelor and Master students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) for a week of field study trip. CUHK is a prestigious university in Asia, establishing international partnership with University of Lausanne since 1990s.
Combining courses and visits of Swiss companies such as REUGE, Swissquote and Maurice Lacroix SA as well as an international organization – UNCTAD, these Chinese students got to know more about Swiss economics environment and corporate culture. They also had a great opportunity to exchange with their peers of HEC Lausanne during the welcome reception. What a rich and international learning experience !
We are already looking forward to the field study trip program next year !
In the context of the Sino-Swiss strategic innovative partnership, Zhejiang-Swiss Young Entrepreneurs Innovation Forum was held at the beginning of April in Hangzhou, China.
During this event, the « Agreement of Innovation strategic alliance » was signed by China Economics and Finance Center of the Faculty of Business and Economics of University of Lausanne, the Formation Continue UNIL-EPFL and Zhejiang University Innovation Institute International. By establishing a training and research center focused on global innovation, this Agreement aims to implement strategic cooperation in relevant fields, promote the common progress of Chinese and Swiss universities, enterprises and societies, and also transform scientific research results into productivity with economic outcomes.
The visit of the delegation from Zhejiang University in April 2019
China Economics and Finance Center was very delighted to welcome the delegation from Zhejiang University in April.
By the visit to Biopôle and EPFL Innovation Park, the delegation highly appreciated Swiss R&D industrialization and management experience. The delegation looked forward to the future collaboration with Swiss innovation parks, including providing investment and management services in China to Swiss scale-up companies.
Besides, as one of our strategic partners, Zhejiang University together with CEFC will develop a tailor-made training program especially designed for family business entrepreneurs and government officials of Zhejiang, with focus topics on innovation and start-up management. This training program was strongly supported by the Dean of HEC Lausanne, Professor Jean-Philippe Bonardi.
Conference “Unicorn or Dragon: How to achieve miraculous growth? An application of Chinese ancient philosophy Sun Tzu in the modern business”, given by Bo JI, Assistant Dean of Global Executive Education and Chief Representative for Europe, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, was successfully held on March 20.
