The Work-in-Progress Seminar series has been set up to provide a forum for members of the Life Course and Inequalities Research Centre (LIVES) and for members of the National Centre of Competences in Research (NCCR)-LIVES to present their ongoing research, discuss specific challenges they are facing and get comments and suggestions about how to proceed. It is intended as an internal activity, primarily aimed at research students, but also open to other members of LIVES and of the NCCR-LIVES who wish to share ideas about new research proposals or get input from colleagues about questions relating to projects that are in progress. Given this characteristic, the seminars are intended to be as interactive as possible, providing presenters with a unique opportunity to get feedback on their work from a number of colleagues with wide-ranging experience and expertise at once.
