This two-day LL.M. - CEDIDAC International Conference on Business and Human Rights is organised by LL.M. Programme Director and CDCEI Director, Professor Andreas R. The Conference aims to bring together leading academics, legal practitioners, policy advisors, and doctoral candidates to discuss the current issues and impact of business on human rights. The event will feature the presentation by Stéphane Brabant, Attorney-at-Law, of the Updated IBA Guidance Note on Business and Human Rights.

TOWARDS A HUMAN-CENTERED COLLABORATION?

This conference will address the impact of AI on the law and on dispute resolution across various areas and jurisdictions. Automated decision-making presents important challenges for justice systems across the world. The speakers will discuss these challenges from different viewpoints in three roundtable sessions. They will focus on what is at stake in the debate over AI, assess how AI can be used in litigation and arbitration and reflect on available accountability mechanisms.
