We are pleased to announce an exceptional doctoral workshop with Professor Nadje Al-Ali from Brown University, who will present her latest book titled "Resisting Far-Right Politics in the Middle East and Europe: Queer Feminist Critiques ". This workshop, organized at the University of Lausanne, will be a unique opportunity to discuss the global dynamics of far-right movements, the anti-woke agenda, and feminist and queer resistance.

 

Call for Papers:
We particularly invite doctoral students and early-career researchers, from a variety of disciplines, to submit an abstract of their work on topics related to the themes of the workshop:

  • Feminist and queer resistance to far-right policies
  • The rise of the anti-woke movement and its global implications
  • Feminist responses and strategies for transnational mobilization

 

Important Dates:

Abstract Submission Deadline (max. 300 words): by February 20, 2025

Notification of Acceptance: February 27, 2025

Paper Submission (4000 words): by March 10, 2025

Workshop Date: March 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Room 4799 Géopolis, University of Lausanne
