Thesis defense by Ms Masamaésso Tchonda

After working four years on the r4d project as a doctoral student, Ms. Masamaésso Tchonda, supervised by Prof. Paboussoum Pari (thesis director, University of Lomé) and Prof. Jonas Masdonati (co-director, University of Lausanne), defended her doctoral thesis on this day. The thesis is entitled "Vocational guidance and promotion of decent work in Togo: validation of a theoretical model for intervention purposes". The consortium of our r4d project congratulates Dr. Masamaésso Tchonda for this excellent achievement and wishes her a nice career continuation!

Thesis defense by Mr. Akila Alfa

After working four years on the r4d project as a doctoral student, Mr. Akila Alfa, supervised by Prof. Paboussoum Pari (thesis director, University of Lomé) and Prof. Jérôme Rossier (co-director, University of Lausanne), defended his doctoral thesis today on this day. The thesis is entitled "Adaptation of an entrepreneurial intention model to the Togolese context". International Conference on the educational systems and professional integration

From September 1-2, 2022, our r4d project consortium organized a conference on "What contribution of the education system to professional integration, entrepreneurship and decent work in a changing world? This scientific event was marked by 39 communications and 4 plenary sessions and gathered participants from different countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, France, Morocco, Senegal, Togo, and Switzerland). Conference for the general public "Decent work, entrepreneurship, and youth employment: What contributions of vocational guidance and career counseling?"

In collaboration with Institut Supérieur des Sciences de la Population (ISSP) University Joseph Ki-Zerbo, our r4d consortium organized a conference that brought together different stakeholders from the world of development (associations, NGOs, agencies, practitioners, etc.) and from the academic world (teachers, researchers, doctoral students, students) from the public and private sectors, whose activities and practices relate to decent work, education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Hybrid workshop with career counselors from Burkina Faso and Togo on "the potential role of career counselors in helping potential entrepreneurs in contexts of fewer job opportunities".
