Research at HEC Lausanne encompasses both macroeconomics and microeconomics and covers the main subfields of economics, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods. Our researchers are positioned at the frontier fo research, both in terms of critical topics addressed (e.g., climate change, financial crises, development and political instability etc.) and methods used (e.g., computational economics, experimental economics and big data analysis etc.). Our faculty regularly publish in top generalist journals (Top 5) as well as leading field-specific journals (Top fields).
