According to Article 6 of the "Règlement du 13 juin 2007 sur les assistants à l’Université de Lausanne":
"A qualified assistant must hold a higher education diploma giving access to doctoral studies at the University of Lausanne. He/she has to be registered as a doctoral student no later than 12 months after the beginning of his/her contract."
