Makane Moïse Mbengue is Associate Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and Visiting Professor at Sciences Po Paris (School of Law). He holds a Ph.D. in Public International Law from the University of Geneva. He acts as a professor for courses in international law organized by the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) and by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). He acts as Counsel for states before the International Court of Justice and is involved in arbitration cases. He has also served in diverse fields and in various capacities. In particular, he has acted as a Legal Advisor for the World Bank and the Senegal River Organization, as well as a Legal Expert for the Secretariat of the Nile Basin Initiative, the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and Green Cross International. He has authored and co-authored various books and articles and has presented communications in different prestigious conferences and colloquiums.
