Internship

Internship MSc ENVI

The syllabus provides for the possibility of enrolling an internship in the free choice module, provided that it has been approved in advance by the master's thesis director and the master's coordinator. The number of credits awarded is decided by the master's thesis director and validated by the master's coordinator, depending on the duration and content of the internship. The maximum number of credits awarded will not exceed 20 ECTS (14 ECTS from 2024) for an internship lasting one semester.

Note: the internship is ideally realized out during the third semester. The internship agreement, duly signed by the three parties, must be submitted to the master's administration at least one month before the start of the internshipThe internship MUST NOT be connected to the master's thesis.

Procedure for validating a professional internship

  1. It is the student's responsibility to find an internship.
  2. At the end of the internship, the student writes a report and submits it to his/her master’s thesis director, together with the internship certificate, for validation. If the internship exceeds 10 ECTS credits, the student must give a 25-minute oral presentation to his/her master’s thesis director and the host organisation. The master’s thesis director informs the master's administration by e-mail of his/her decision, which is then validated in the student's file.
  3. The student must ensure that he/she is able to submit the completed internship agreement, signed by all parties, to the master's administration before the start of the internship, no later than 1 month before the start of the internship. A copy of the duly completed internship agreement will be given to the student by the master's administration as soon as possible after it has been finalised in the student's file.
  4. The student completes the internship agreement form in collaboration with his/her master’s thesis director, the tutor from the host organisation and the master's coordinator.
