CIRSport Visiting Fellowships

CIRSport offers visiting fellowships for researchers from outside Switzerland who wish to engage in joint research with CIRSport members. The aim is to encourage the exchange of ideas and stimulate joint research. Researchers at different levels of academic advancement are eligible for the visiting fellowship: PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, research TAPs, MERs and professors. Researchers are eligible for the grant if they plan to spend at least two months at Unil.

Recipients of a visiting fellowship undertake to work on site in Lausanne, to take part in CIRSport activities and to present their research at a seminar organised by CIRSport. The visiting fellowship covers travel and accommodation costs up to a total of CHF 4,000. It does not cover other expenses such as local transport and food.

Visiting fellowships will be awarded on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Scientific quality, prospects for innovation and thematic relevance of the planned research to CIRSport research areas;
  • The collaborative dimension and added value of the research visit for Unil and CIRSport;
  • The applicant's scientific qualifications.

CIRSport Visiting Fellowships will open at the beginning of 2025. Details will follow.
