Genotyping Platform

Neuroscience heavily relies on transgenic mouse models due to their capacity to mimic human genetic variations linked to neurological disorders. These models are essential for exploring both pathological and healthy brain functions, dissecting neural circuits, and studying behavior. Genotyping is fundamental when managing multiple transgenic mouse lines, ensuring the accuracy of each mouse’s genetic profile.

In 2023, the DNF introduced a centralized Genotyping platform, recognizing its pivotal role in neuroscience research. Previously, genotyping was a fragmented process conducted within individual labs. The Genotyping platform streamlines and standardizes these services, enhancing precision and efficiency.

The platform is open to all research laboratories affiliated to the DNF.
