Description

Population aging is a topic affecting most of the developed countries and poses a systemic threat to the social systems. The critical developments encompass many areas, including the provision and financing of health care, of old-age long-term care delivered to elderly persons in need of assistance, of the optimal care for multi-morbid patients, of lodging, and of adequate and sustainable old-age provisions in pension funds and life insurance. The above topics require specifically a review of the parameters and the financing of the welfare, pension and health systems to make them sustainable for the future. Research covers the themes of long-term care, patient multimorbidity, end-of-life costs, lodging for elderly, pension systems, and life insurance.
