An information for everybody
Know Your Nano! Nanotechnology and the Environment
Conceived for a large public, this document reviews the hundreds of products already present in our everyday life, the future developments, the risks and the uncertainties related to nanotechnology. It also explain the role played by the institutions involved in those issues in Switzerland. It as been written within a collaboration between the Swiss Centre for Technology Assessment (TA-SWISS), the Federal Office for the Environment and the Federal Office of Public Health. The document was used in the context of a series of focus groups (Publifocus) conducted in the end of year 2006 with Swiss citizens and stakeholders.

Nanoforum - European Nanotechnology Gateway
Funded by the EC, Nanoforum provides a platform for the dissemination of information to support the European nanotechnology community. It achieves this through its website where the public, industry and the R&D community can access and search for free a comprehensive database of European nanoscience and nanotechnology organizations, and find out the latest on news, events and other relevant information. In addition, Nanoforum publishes its own timely reports on nanotechnology and key market sectors, the economical and societal impacts. It organizes events throughout the EU to inform, network and support European expertise.
