The goal of the Fund for Research and Education in Genetics (FREG) Travel Grant Program is to support QB student participation in international courses and conferences that provide training in state of the art experimental or computational methods. The fund will finance the participation of QB students (members of the CIG only) in one such course or conference over the period of their involvement in the QB. To receive a travel grant, once a student has been accepted by a course or conference, he or she must submit to the QB Steering Committee for approval a description of the course, a summary of the expected costs plus a letter of support from the thesis supervisor. This information can be submitted directly to the Quantitative Biology Doctoral Program Administration.
The Travel Grant Program is made possible due to the extreme generosity of the Fund for Research and Education in Genetics.
