Scholarships and funding

The Faculty of Theology and Sciences of Religions (FTSR) encourages the mobility of its students and welcomes international students at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels. With this aim in mind, it provides several scholarships to FTSR students and international students, funded either by the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Vaud, or by the University of Lausanne. The scholarships for FTSR students or outward mobility scholarships are generally linked to mobility agreements with other Swiss or international universities, such as the faculties of theology of Göttingen and Manchester. Obtaining any student scholarship, for outward or inward mobility, is subject to precise conditions that are described in the rules proper to each scholarship (pdf document to download). The applications are then examined by the student scholarship Commission according to the criteria proper to each scholarship, then submitted to the faculty Council and given, when required, to the synodal Council of the Evangelical Reformed Church of the Canton of Vaud for information. There are five mobility scholarships for sending students out for a period of a semester or an academic year and two mobility scholarships for receiving students into the FTSR for an academic year. Many students have already taken advantage of these scholarships and have pursued their studies in Manchester, Göttingen, Heidelberg, Fribourg, Rome, Bayreuth or again Quebec.
