In the frame of the Master in Earth sciences, students must carry out an individual research work under the responsability of an ELSTE teacher. This Master's thesis is the occasion for the students to be working with a research team, to have access to state-of-the-art laboratories after having conducted a field study.
The student have to choose his topic and his supervisor by the begining of the Spring semester. The Master Thesis Project has to be presented by the beging of the 2nd year.
At the end of their program, students must present their work during a public day of joint defenses between the UNIGE and the UNIL.
