I am a researcher and lecturer in Middle English and comparative literature. I specialise in emotion history and a cross-cultural approach to medieval European literature. I have published on Chaucer, emotion, medieval romance and translation and my first monograph, The Joy of Love in the Middle Ages: A European Literary History is forthcoming in 2025 with CUP.
