Credit
The public lecture of the CIEL takes place annually during the Fall semester and treats an interdisciplinary theme. It is delivered jointly by instructors of the Faculty of Arts and/or invited guests. The public lecture falls under the options program of the plan of Bachelor studies (modules "Comparatisms" and "Interdisciplinary Teaching"), under the reinforcement program of the plan of Master studies (modules "Comparatisms" and "Interdisciplinary teaching") as well as under the spezialisation program in Comparative Literature of the plan of Master Studies (module 2 "En acte: Comparative Studies and/or Interdisciplinary Studies"). If taken for credit, it counts for 3 ECTS credits (options BA and MA) or for 5 ECTS credits (SPEC), validated according to the following criteria:
- In addition to active participation in all the meetings of the public lecture, BA students hoping to receive credit for the public lecture are required to produce a written text. The required length is 5-6 pages (line spacing: 1.5) and the text can be written either in French, German or English.
- In addition to active participation in all the meetings of the public lecture, MA students hoping to receive credit for the public lecture are required to produce a written text. The required length is 10-12 pages (line spacing: 1.5) for MA students and 15-20 pages (line spacing: 1.5) for SPEC students. The text can be written either in French, German or English.
To receive credit for the January 2024 session, all work must be submitted by January 15, 2024 at the latest.
