Personal insights

Sandor Czellar is Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne. For the past few years, he has been involved in the SNSF’s National Research Program 73 with a project investigating the effect of identity-related aspects of sustainable consumption.

Summary of research areas

Sandor is interested in the identity-based motivations of consumer behavior, with a special focus on sustainable consumption and branding effects. Sandor’s current research revolves around environmentally-relevant personal identities and their role in shaping consumer attitudes, intentions and behaviors. His worked has appeared in various international outlets including the Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing and Journal of Environmental Psychology.
