Sébastien Houde is an Associate Professor of Environmental Economics at HEC Lausanne in the Department of Economics. He received his PhD from Stanford University. He is an environmental and energy economist exploring themes at the nexus of energy, climate, digitalization, industrial organization, and behavioral economics. He is particularly interested in research projects where data, technologies, behaviors, and policies come into play.
Sébastien Houde’s recent research projects focus on adaptation to multidimensional climate risks in developed and developing economies, barriers and determinants of energy efficiency investments and conservation behaviors, and the role of behavioral biases and morality in the design of environmental policies.
