Social Policy

Switzerland social protection system is regularly brought into question and confronted with many tensions and challenges. Can we reconcile budgetary constraints with public expectations? What should be done in the face of new, emerging social problems? How should we react to an ageing population? Adequately responding to these questions presupposes solid and reliable scientific knowledge. The Social Policy unit’s mission is to contribute to the production and dissemination of this knowledge via fundamental and applied research, teaching and producing publications.
