Valentin obtained his master’s degree in medical biology from the University of Lausanne in January 2024. He completed his master’s project in the lab of Prof. Fabio Martinon. Guided by his interest in the field of inflammasomes, he returned to the lab in March 2024 to start his thesis on the molecular pathways leading to inflammasome activation in autoinflammation.

Cyrielle Hou obtained her Pharmaceutical PhD degree and master’s degree in Cell biology from the University of Montpellier, France in 2017. Then, she received her PhD from Paris-University in 2021, where she studied the impact of IFNg on muscle regeneration in the context of inflammatory myopathies. In 2022, she joined the Martinon lab for her Postdoc, investigating inflammasome activation regulation in the context of autoinflammatory diseases or bacterial pathogens.

Laura obtained her Master Diploma in Immunology in the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain in 2016, and started the PhD in Biomedicine under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Javier Cubero, granted with a Fellowship from the EU.  During the PhD, she studied the molecular mechanisms involved in acute liver failure (ALF) and chronic liver disease (CLD). In 2023, she moved to Lausanne to join the group of Fabio Martinon to study the defects of proteasome in multiple myeloma.

Kalvin obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Ulm investigating the link between lipid metabolism and macrophage activation. He then moved to the University of Bonn to obtain his master’s degree and did his thesis studying cFLIP in TNF-induced cell death signaling pathway at the University Hospital in Cologne. He then joined the Martinon’s lab to study DDI2 and the link between proteostasis maintenance and innate immune response.

Zhuo got her bachelor degree majoring in marine biology from Shantou University at 2016. She received her master degree from Xiamen University at 2019, where she joined Jiahuai Han’s lab to investigate cell death signaling pathway, especially pyroptosis and necroptosis.   Then she worked as a lab technician at The Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from 2019 to 2022, where she worked on mRNA modification and gastric cancer. She joined Martinon Lab as a PhD candidate at 2022 to explore the mechanism of inflammasome activation and auto-inflammatory diseases.
