Nagham Alouche
Nagham Alouche completed her PhD in immunology at the University of Paris Saclay (INSERM UMR-996) in 2018, under the mentorship of Dr. Marion Espeli. Her research focused on understanding the role of Cxcr4 desensitization in B cell responses and malignancies. In 2019, she joined our laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher, where she began investigating the role Notch signaling pathway in lymph node fibroblast development and activation. She is particularly interested in deciphering how fibroblasts shape the biology of nearby immune cells.
Marija Jokic
Marija Jokic obtained her master's degree in Infection and Immunity from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam in the year 2021. For her Master thesis she worked in the lab of Christopher Schliehe in the department of Immunology at the Erasmus MC. She joined our lab in 2022 to study the role of a subset of fibroblasts in secondary lymphoid organs.
José Adolfo Villegas Vazquez
José A. Villegas earned his PhD from Sorbonne University working at the Institute of Myology in 2019, where he specialized in the study of a rare autoimmune disease, myasthenia gravis. His research revealed the pivotal role of IL-23 in the pathogenesis of this condition. In 2021, he joined our laboratory to explore the function and release mechanism of IL-33, a cytokine stored within the nucleus of fibroblastic reticular cells in secondary lymphoid organs.
Jan-Pieter Eversdijk
Jan-Pieter Eversdijk obtained his master's degree in biomedical sciences (oncology) at the University of Amsterdam in February 2024. A few months later, he moved to Switzerland to join our lab as a PhD student. He is working under the co-supervision of Sanjiv Luther and Nagham Alouche, to study the role of fibroblasts in the anti-tumor immune response.
