Presentation

Yenny Delgado is a Peruvian psychologist and theologian. She is a scholar of Native descent who appreciates her Native roots and considers the key components in her theological work. She founded Publica Theology and organizes Women Doing Theology in Abya Yala, where she plays a crucial role in facilitating dialogues that elevate women's voices and encourage theological reflection from womanist and feminist decolonial perspectives.

Yenny studied psychology at Federico Villarreal University in Peru and theology at Biblical Latin America University in Costa Rica. She earned a master’s in theology from Wesley Theological Seminary in the United States and a master’s in development for cooperation from Jaume I University in Spain. Currently, she is pursuing a doctoral degree in the Social Sciences of Religion, focusing on the Psychology of Religion, at the University of Lausanne. As a doctoral candidate, she is working on her dissertation entitled, "Religious and Spiritual Aspects in the Construction of Psychological Identity," under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Pierre-Yves Brandt.

She has engaged extensively in international collaborations, contributing to various publications, and has presented her work on Abya Yala theology and Psychology in Religion at numerous academic venues.
