Lab aimed at preparing the thin sections of rocks and minerals from the hand specimens collected on the field. After being sawed into blocks and glued onto glass holders, the samples undergo successive steps of surface polishing to make them suitable for analysis under polarizing or electron microscopes.
Requests for thin sections and polishing work must be accompanied by a duly completed form. Users are also invited to read the lab rules.
