Joëlle de Sépibus is a Swiss attorney-at-law with professional experience at the Swiss Supreme Court and two leading Swiss law firms. She holds a Law Degree and a PhD from the University of Bern, an LL.M from the College of Europe (Bruges) and obtained the prestigious title of Private Docent in European and International Public Law. She participated in the international climate negotiations (UNFCCC), offering, inter alia, her expertise as an academic advisor to the Presidency of the European Union. Previously Associate Professor of European and International Public Law at the Universities of Fribourg and Bern, she has authored and edited numerous publications on international environmental and economic law. She is currently a Visiting Professor for European and international climate and energy law at the College of Europe in Bruges and will teach next year at ESADE in Barcelona.
