Spyros Maniatis is the Director of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) in London.
He was previously a Professor of Intellectual Property Law and Head of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University in London, where he is now an Honorary Professor of Intellectual Property.
While Head of the CCLS, he extended the research specialisations, ranging from shipping and energy to art and regulation.
Prof. Maniatis's expertise and research interests cover innovation and trade, mark trade and unfair competition, the interaction between intellectual property and competition law, as well as intellectual property in China. His work Trade Marks in Europe: A Practical Jurisprudence published its third edition in 2016.
