DESCRIPTION In a global marketplace, where choices are often made in uncertain conditions, the role of the lawyer is critical in helping management make business decisions. The International Business Lawyer in Practice will provide guidance, pragmatic insights and toolkits for assessing legal risks, evaluating their impact and determining how to choose a course of action. The course will also analyze how to counsel clients effectively and provide them with options to mitigate the risk. Finally, it will discuss the role of the business lawyer in an international setting and, as it all comes down to money, how to develop and manage a legal budget. The intended audience for this course are students seeking to have a perspective on how the legal profession is practiced within an international organization.
