Seed-Funding Projects

To support the initiation of new interdisciplinary projects, the CIRM offers seed funding. Limited to a maximum of CHF 20,000 per project, these funds are intended to kick-start interdisciplinary initiatives, with a focus on the three study regions and the concept of "Living Well in the Mountains". Funded projects should, if possible, lead to more ambitious research projects with external funding. Three types of projects are eligible for funding:

  • Fundamental research projects
  • Applied research projects
  • Projects aimed at valorizing research results

Call for Research Project Proposals for 2025

This year, projects that integrate researchers from both the humanities and social sciences and the natural or health sciences (strong interdisciplinarity), as well as those involving both scientists and local stakeholders, particularly from the Jura and CIRM partners (transdisciplinarity), will be prioritized.

Proposals (written in French or English) must be submitted as a single PDF file to Christelle Monnet, CIRM Secretary (christelle.monnet@unil.ch), by January 15, 2025.

For more information : Iago Otero (iago.otero@unil.ch), Project Manager.
