An "Agroecology" conference took place on 4 November 2021, after which the participants of the conference founded this initiative.
The "Agroecology" initiative brings together researchers from different disciplines who focus on ecologically sustainable and socially just agri-food systems. Based on a common will to deconstruct the ideology of modernist agricultural development, our interests include: soil science, permaculture, agroforestry, social movements, the city-nature relationship, sustainability and resilience of food systems, agrarian economics and politics, relationships between humans and other living beings, etc.
We meet twice a month – every other Monday from 12:00 to 13:15 – to present and discuss our work, whether completed or in progress, and to share our experiences. These contribute to the reflections on the future of agro-eco-systems. Practical activities, cultural and scientific events for the wider public are also part of the Agroecology initiative.
