DESCRIPTION This course maps, comparatively, types of legal reasoning that characterise "global" and "transnational" disputes in civil law, common law and mixed jurisdictions’ settings and before transnational courts and arbitration bodies. The focus is on a close assessment of landmark globalising decisions and also of expertise and of procedures held to constitute a "law beyond the state" by transnational law’ scholarship.
