Institutional IT purchasing (in French)

The Central Purchasing Office provides you with a non-exhaustive catalogue of equipment specially configured for use on the Unil site, as well as a team to advise you on your purchases. Equipment connected to the network must be purchased through this service. You will also find some software not available through the ‘software distribution’ service.

Non-professional IT purchases (private discounts) (in French)

UNIL members can take advantage of a range of discounts from a number of UNIL partners for all IT purchases for personal use (hardware and software).

Software distribution (in French)

The service offers the university community and its partners a web platform for the distribution of software licensed for and by UNIL under conditions of use specific to each piece of software. Software not distributed by this service can be obtained through the IT Purchasing Service.

Installation of a workstation (in French)

Any machine purchased via the central purchasing unit can benefit from the ‘mobile’ help desk service, which can install, configure and transfer data to the new computer.

Inventory of IT equipment (in French)

All IT equipment connected to the UNIL network is identified by a unique inventory number (label). This inventory is useful for managing UNIL's IT equipment or for an internal structure. It is also used to control software distribution. You can ask for machines to be added to the inventory according to specific rules.

End-of-life machines (in French)

When a machine is no longer used professionally at UNIL, for whatever reason, you must inform the central purchasing office. The latter will inform you of the possible future of these machines, the procedure to follow and the rights to use the software installed.

Repairs: loan of a computer (in French)

UNIL students who have entrusted a machine to the help desk for long-term repairs may, on request and subject to stock availability, benefit from a loan laptop.

Teleworking: Loan of a screen (in French)

Within the framework of directive 1.40 on teleworking, the IT Centre's central purchasing unit provides screens on loan for tasks carried out away from UNIL premises. These screens are available to employees who meet the conditions set out in directive 1.40 and who are in possession of the appendix to the teleworking agreement validated by the Human Resources department.
