Off-campus access (VPN) (in French)

The IT Centre offers all members of the University of Lausanne a service for accessing internal resources and external scientific resources from a workstation connected to a remote network (VPN crypto). The system provides access to the administrative intranet, servers and BCUL documents, among others.

Unified communication - Microsoft Teams (in French)

The IT Centre offers all members of the University of Lausanne a communication tool that links the various modes of correspondence (audio, video, instant messaging and telephony) and integrates as well as possible with the other IT tools (office software, diary, directory, etc.).

Wired network (in French)

The offices and premises on the University of Lausanne campus are equipped with a wired network that guarantees maximum speed for the various IT equipment that needs to be connected to the network (connection request, IP number request).

Wireless network (Wi-Fi) (in French)

All UNIL sites are equipped with a wireless network. Members of the university community can access the network using their UNIL IDs, but other solutions are available for external visitors. Consult the page to find out about these options.

Firewall as a Service (FWaaS) (in French)

Firewall rule creation request service for opening a machine on the Internet (e.g. green list).

Load Balancer as a Service (LBaaS | in French)

Load Balancer as a Service (LBaaS) enables the management and distribution of incoming network traffic across multiple servers to ensure balanced load distribution. This service optimizes web application performance, ensures high availability, and enhances system resilience by redirecting traffic based on server status.

 

CNAME Request (in French)

The CNAME request service allows the creation of DNS aliases (CNAME) for domain names. This service simplifies the association of multiple domain names with a single IP address or resource, streamlining name and network access management.

 

Fixed IP Request (in French)

The Fixed IP request service allows you to obtain a fixed IP address on the campus network for any device requiring a permanent address.

Videoconferencing

Videoconferencing

The IT Centre, in partnership with UNICOM, offers a videoconferencing service by equipping rooms with appropriate systems and providing a software solution for all types of devices (computers, tablets, etc.).
