I am a doctoral researcher on evolutionary biology and comparative transcriptomics. Using ray-finned fishes as my model system, I study the interplay between gene expression variability and the evolution of gene function. I am particularly interested in the role of expression variability on gene function specialization after whole-genome duplication.
